On three months ago, i write a review article title “hostmonster support quality compromised”.. and it can be found here. After the month of poor service uptime that had been caused by massive server upgrading works by both bluehost and hostmonster servers. And this hostmonster hosted website had been effected as well.

Now, its 3 months after the server upgrade. What do we get?
Clearly from the recent 2 months of hostmonster uptime statistic and monitoring, it clearly shown that hostmonster uptime had reached above 99.9% and giving a very good server response time. The server is responding in 0.2 second in average.

Is it true that Hostmonster support quality had been compromise? if you are one of the Hostmonster customer, you might found out that in the past few days, they are more service downtime than ever. in hostmonster forum site, you can find lots of new discussion about hostmonster downtime and customers website not available. Another main problem that is rising is they are more customer complaining their website being hacked and HTML codes granted into their index.html and other webpages.

For the concern of Hostmonster website being hacked, Hostmonster user shall implement a strong account login and password combination, if you found your cPanel password or FTP password is weak, do change them immediately. Another tips is used down make sure your website scripts/html files are using the most updated version, make sure you update them from time to time. For example, if you are using WordPress script, do make sure it’s using the latest version of 2.6.2. Outdated script are usually having security hole and highly vulnerable to hackers attack.

My personal opinion about host monster phone supports

Today i give it a try, from host monster homepage: www.hostmonster.com, at the bottom-left corner you will find the “live chat” features. Clicking on it bring up a small windows, to get this, make sure you not have popup blocker etc that will prevent pop windows. And you can choose to contact which hostmonster department, here is the list:

A quick test, i connect to the sales department. Filled in my name etc, i get into the one-to-one chat with sales department. Interestingly, i get a sales personal feedback in less than 10 seconds… that is fast. Quickly i throw my questions. And frankly speaking, they answer me quit well and in proper manner. A quality pre-sales service can say.

well, I keep trying, and now i live chat with the technical support department. Asking about domain transfer that i going to engage. They give me a short instruction of what to do, and follow by a link to their knowledge base that compiled with everything i need to know.
