Hostmonster.com hosting server is so realible, and the downtime is merely impossible. This the main reason i love hostmonster so much. Their web server uptime is good, and email pop/smtp server uptime is good as well. My outlook will connect to hostmonster mail server every 5 minutes to check for mail, and its very unlikely to jump into outlook connection error to hostmonster.
After 4 months with hostmonster, i finally met some downtime at hostmonster server. Its where the website hosted with hostmonster is not available for about 10 minutes. The time i realise it, i had the server status monitoring system running, just to monitor the downtime if any. Email alert arive and i quickly jump to hostmonster.com and start a live chat with the support team to acknowledge them on the site downtime.
And after few minutes with the hostmonster support, and some ping and tracert testing from my pc. Finally found out the problem is caused by internet route between me and hostmonster datacentre. Somewhere between us is having internet failure. Thus result in the downtime of about 10 minutes.
Here is the live chat session that i manage to copy out:

Marc 8:48:21 AM: I am finding the web pages to be served quickly and the server is running optimally. Are you still getting a slow response at this moment?
8:48:39 AM: It does show that, but this is not a performance factor.
charles 8:49:20 AM: getting connection timeout. because i got another account wit BH (same loc) is fine.

8:51:58 AM: internet problem??
Marc 8:52:07 AM: I am glad you performed the tracert already. This may be the source of the problem of viewing your site slowly. There may be a bad communication with your ISP and the ISP in San Jose.

charles 8:52:39 AM: i see. ok then i should try again other time.
